Basics · Lesson 1 of 27
Hello, Python
Every Python program is a list of instructions that run from top to bottom. The first instruction everyone learns is print(). It shows text on the screen.
print("Hello!")
print("Python is easy")Output:
Hello! Python is easy
Text inside quotes is called a string. You can use double quotes "hi" or single quotes 'hi', both work the same.
Each print() writes on a new line. You can also print numbers, and Python will even do maths for you:
print(7) print(2 + 3)
Python is case-sensitive. print works, Print and PRINT do not.
Your task
Print exactly these two lines:
Hello, World! I am learning Python
Press Run to see your output, then Submit to check it.
